Supervision services

Me as a Supervisor

I qualified as a supervisor in July 2025 after completing a Level 6 course at Devon Counselling College. Becoming a supervisor felt like a natural progression from both my counselling work and the many supportive roles I’ve held throughout my career. I genuinely enjoy sitting alongside other counsellors, supporting them in their client work, professional development, and private practice journeys.

I value the collaborative relationship that develops within supervision and believe that, together, we can offer the very best support possible to your clients. My approach is warm, supportive and down-to-earth, while still maintaining the professionalism, ethics and boundaries essential within supervision.

I work collaboratively, weaving in mentoring and educational elements where helpful, and I’m always happy to support supervisees in developing confidence within their practice. Starting out as a counsellor or building a private practice can feel daunting at times, and having successfully run my own private practice for seven years, I understand both the rewards and challenges that can come with it.  I’m often described as genuine, approachable and easy to talk to, and I aim to create a supervision space where you can feel comfortable, supported and able to reflect openly. Alongside this, I hold the responsibility of supervision seriously and strive to maintain a balance of warmth, challenge when needed and professionalism.

My supervision work draws from a range of models, though I predominantly use the Seven-Eyed Model by Hawkins & Shohet, as I find it offers a strong and flexible framework for exploring both client work and the wider aspects of practice.

My counselling experience includes working with all ages across a wide range of presenting difficulties, with a particular specialism in working with Children and Young People. I have previously worked within a mainstream secondary school, a local hospice and I spent six years at a pupil referral unit (alternative provision). I have also supported trainee counsellors on placement within my previous work at the Youth Intervention Centre.

I offer one-to-one supervision sessions both online and in person, and I can also offer outdoor supervision sessions at a local park for those who enjoy working in a more relaxed outdoor setting.

I also offer reduced rates for trainee counsellors and those who have recently qualified and

one-to-one supervision is also cheaper if you already attend one of my supervision groups.  Please see my fees page for more info on this.

Group Supervision

Alongside individual supervision, I also run monthly group supervision sessions with a maximum of four supervisees. This small group format allows for meaningful discussion, shared learning and supportive peer connection, while also enabling supervisees to count half of the hours towards their monthly supervision requirements.

The groups are held from my home and have received really positive

feedback. I do have two friendly cats who occasionally like to join the

sessions — it’s not unusual for a supervisee to end up with a cat

curled up on their lap! Of course, if this isn’t for you for any reason,

I’m more than happy to work around this.

I can also offer closed group supervision sessions for friends,

colleagues, agencies and employers either from my home, at a

workplace setting, or even outdoors on a nice dry day.

If you’d like more information about how the group sessions work, please feel free to get in touch for an information sheet.

If you have any questions, or would simply like an informal chat to explore whether we’d be a good fit to work together, I’d love to hear from you.
