Supervision services

Me as a supervisor

I qualified as a supervisor in July 2025 having completed a level 6 course at the Devon Counselling College. I chose to become a supervisor because I really enjoy sitting alongside other counsellors and being able to support them in their work.  I have experience and knowledge to pass on to others but also enjoy what I learn from my supervisees also.  I thoroughly enjoy the collaborative partnership that forms between us and know that together we can do the very best we can for your clients.

My way of working as a supervisor is very collaborative with elements of mentoring and educational aspects within that and I'm really happy to help support you in your own practices.

I'm quite laid back, and consider myself to be a genuine, fun and helpful person.  However, I also know and believe in the ethics and professionalism needed to stand in this type of role and consider that I find a good balance between it all.

I use different models in my approach but mostly the seven eyed model by Hawkins & Shohet as I feel this provides me with a good framework to be able to explore my supervisee's practice.

My counselling work involves all ages but I have a specialism of working with Children and Young People having spent some time working at a local mainstream secondary school and previous to that six years at a pupil referral unit (alternative provision).  I have also recently spent seven years running a successful private practice, including supporting trainee counsellors on placement.

I offer in-person or online one to one sessions and can also arrange outdoor sessions at a local park if you'd like to do that.

Group Supervision

I also run Group supervision services which run once a month for

three hours with a maximum of four supervisees.  This means that you

can then claim half the time for your monthly supervision requirements.

I run my groups from my home and have received good feedback

from them.  I do have two cats who sometimes decide to join us and

it has been known for a supervisee to sit with a cat on their lap!  Don't

worry, if this isn't for you or you have an allergy, I am more than happy

to work around this. For more information about how my group

supervision sessions work, please email me for an information sheet.

I am also more than happy to run closed group sessions for your friends,

colleagues or agencies at my home or work places if needed or even a nice dry day at a park perhaps!

If you have any questions or would like to explore any of the above further then please get in touch and we can have a chat and take it from there.
